Nigerian Army Deserter & Fake Policeman Arrested After Robbery Operations Rivers State


Policemen have arrested a fake policeman, Chiemeka Telvin, and a soldier said to have deserted the Army, Sani Abubakar, after robbery operations. 43-year-old Telvin of 10 Pam Avenue, Elingbu Obiakpo in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, was nabbed in a Mercedes Benz truck with registration number ABU 208 UV, belonging to Alon Technical Services Limited, Port Harcourt, while Abubakar (33) of 33 Tudun Wada, Zaria, Kaduna State, was picked up in a Toyota Corolla car with registration number EKY 128 DM with four occupants after they had snatched some cars at gunpoint.

Men of 51 Police Mobile Force at Ogbara in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State swooped on Abubakar’s gang while on a stop-and search on the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Road in Effurun.


The state Commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, who paraded them, alongside 14 suspected traffickers, kidnappers, robbers and 12 cultists, said although Abubakar and his gang attempted to evade arrest, Happy Sunday (24) and Stanley Vincent (29) were arrested.

Ibrahim said men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) pounced on the fake policeman while on routine patrol on Abraka- Obiaruku Road while escaping in the Mercedes Benz truck.
